Mural for Joshua Tree Music Festival

The light-animated mural morphs and fades at night when illuminated with alternating red, green and blue LED par lights. During the day, bright dazzling colors captivate passersby. While at night, utilizing op-art color theory, layered imagery disappears and reappears via DMX-programmed lighting.          

Thematically, fanciful anthropomorphic creatures cyclically blend in and out of one another, with universal consciousness suggested via strategically placed overlapping eyes.

Joshua Tree Music Festival draws thousands of participants to gather for music and art installations on the doorstep of Joshua Tree National Monument. Cited at an historic campground dating from decades past, the festival features many dozens of performers on numerous stages, and a beautiful lake surrounded by art installations.
